The camping area has acres of space the kids and pets to play and explore. The camping area is within a gated enclosure at the park. Pets are part of the family and always welcome.
The 1951 Roadmaster will be rebuilt and remodeled as necessary during the rally. The intent is for rally participants to have an opportunity to "learn as you go" as the trailer goes through the remodel process. Rally participants are encouraged to get “hand’s on” involved in the process under the guidance of facilitators.
Rebuilding a vintage trailer is also a great spectator sport so everyone is welcome to come by and watch or to just cheer on the builders.
Key areas that will be covered and explained are; electrical, plumbing, wood finishing interiors, axles-bearing-brake-tires, wood framing, insulation, windows, vents, metal prep and painting. There will be open Q & A throughout the build process.
Upon completion the vintage trailer will be sold/auctioned off to help pay for the rally costs. The remainder will be placed in the bank to fund the next "Rally at the Falls" in 2022.
We will host a Open House for the public to visit the rally and interact with rally participants on Saturday from 10-4. The purpose of the Open House is to take the opportunity to share with the public what the vintage trailer community is all about. It also allows for the opportunity to engage with visitors, develop a more robust interest in vintage trailers and strengthen our membership.
Our primary goal we want to convey at the rally is that "You can do this". We want to encourage folks to drag out that old camper from behind the shed and get after it. Then get out there camping with friends and family. We also will convey that there is assistance and information available to them at every stage of the journey.
